This is another one of my wax model concepts, it is a prime example of simple elegance. The client wanted a setting to secure her gem that she can wear everyday and she was open to a pendant or a ring. For me I love to see my designs in a ring, a ring is something that women always wear and easily shows.

I started carving and went with a full bezel setting to fully enclose her gem, and the signature fluid lines on my carvings are quite evident. It is  a two piece casting that features her gem front and center, the beautiful color of this stone is nicely accented on a white gold bezel contrasted to the main yellow gold head.

The advantage of my wax carvings are  rounded fluid look that is often hard to portray in sketches, this is simple yet a signature Dodgie Dator design.

My clients were quite specific on what they wanted, a matching Celtic Love Knot wedding rings and at the end of the project we achieved and surpassed what they originally expected.

This one of my faves in 2008, since it was a blend of creativity and resourcefulness.

I sourced out a supplier that would be able to cast Celtic Love Knot designs to be able to maintain consistency compared to hand making these 4 shoulder pieces. It was quite a wait since it was a 6 week wait to cast these pieces overseas. And I sourced out 2 very nice VS1 diamonds and needless to say that they just sparkle!

The gents' ring is a one piece casting with a lot of hand finishing work to achieve the multiple cuttings in the ring and the Love Knot pieces were used as shoulders. The ladies' ring is also a one piece casting with the precise use of the Love Knots on the sides to highlight the beautiful diamond.
